There were active duty military in the crowd as sponsors for various charities. 

Special ops wouldn't be that easy for a civilian to identify.  They throw those stereotypes out for a reason.  Your not looking for a mountain man, and your not looking for a guy with aviators/oakley's and a crewcut.
