Charles had more of a chance, considering that AVP didn't hide the guy away for most of the film. He had a great speech in the snowmobile. Saying that, I voted Peter. I prefer the continuity, and what little snippets of the character we got. I wish he'd been given more time, more dimensions, but alas.
Here's Lindelof talking about Pete and Charlie by the by: "[Ridley] wanted to use Weyland as a conduit in the story, and was not at all interested when I said, 'You know, Weyland was a character in one of the Alien vs. Predator movies.' He just sort of looked at me like I had just slapped him in the face. That was the beginning, middle, and end of all Alien vs. Predator references in our story process."
