A good read, thanks. I don't agree that the dirth of religious and philisophical symbolism in Prometheus is particularly coherent or meaningful though. Some of it works, but a lot of it is just fluff IMO. She gives the filmakers too much credit I think.

There may be some symbolism, that's ok. But it would be better if the movie wasnt just plain stupid in some parts and scenes. I was really feeling cheated when the movie ended. Nothing explained, some scenes didn't make any sense, and some small symbolism and religious references didn't save it. Most of people didn't even realize that there is some symbolism or something.
