Excellent book. I've never read the revised version which you posted, but apart from fixing a few typos, the one you just got is basically the same as the original release. I'm reading through Hal Cryptum myself right now

I'm absolutely loving it. Its very different from the other Halo books (it takes place 100 thousand years before any of the other games/books) but it tells a very interesting story, and sets up a lot of interesting Forerunner stuff that we may see in Halo 4.
