The Davos/Stannis friendship is actually one of the things I feel like the show didn't handle as well as it could, to be honest. I know Stannis had to imprison Davos for what he did, but he seemed a bit to quick to act. I would have liked to have seen Stannis show a bit more remorse for what he had to do.
