Finally got myself to sit down and finish up all of
Caprica. Overall, the show is not exactly on par with the standards set by
Battlestar Galactica and it suffered a bit from some fairly extensive lulls in progression in the middle of the season, but by the end the show really did turn into something special in and of itself. The ties to the overall BSG mythology were great, and the events that transpired at the end of the season (especially the stuff in the fantastic finale) did an excellent job paving the road for the inevitable events that will lead to humanity's ultimate struggle in
Battlestar Galactica. There were a ton of great ideas and concepts in that final montage that I assume was added only after the show's creators learned that they were canceled. On one hand I wish that there was a second season to tie up the loose ends that the series left when it was canceled, but for what it was
Caprica worked as a single standalone season.

I would have loved to have seen the Galen Tyrol appearance that was supposed to happen in the second season if the show had continued.
