Those Kaiju cults cause like revolts and shit and THEY'RE the villains!

And they like... Do some, like, plot shit.

And suddenly oh shit kaiju again.

And like, the cultist peoples are all happy and on the Kaiju side and plot happens?

Suddenly I want to see Cthulhu fight a jaeger.

Actually, this actually sounds pretty damn cool. Even better than the stuff del Toro has been throwing out there.

I think its pretty safe to say a sequel will be ordered at this point, fan reaction has been very positive, dvd and bluray sales are going to be phenomenal

They will create a Kaiju/Jaeger hybrid and use it to infiltrate in the invaders planet to learn more about them.
That actually sounds pretty cool (don't know if it was truly another planet or a real entirely different [alternate] universe), perhaps in an attempt to extract and leach off of their technologies; this could lead them also finding a way back to Earth, but I can't imagine they'd want it that badly anymore.

Very interesting concept there; anything that can provide a good story while taking us deeper into the alternate universe/planet would have my money in a heartbeat.

I don't know if I've made this abundantly clear, but I'm totally rooting for this movie to pull through.

Legendary also commissioned Dredd, no?

It seems like Legendary might get tired of only appealing to fanbases :P

Or maybe they'll realize they have built in audiences who are willing to accept franchises with relatively low budgets.

I don't want to see a Dredd film with a budget of 5 million and a Pacific Rim film with a budget of 20 million :P
