From home close enough to see the fireball, but today a group of us from work can get real close. 

Rumor has it a local company is trying to buy a shuttle and make commercial/private sector flights...sweet!  Might just get to ride on one of these babies yet  ;D

Haha, rather you than me!

And I'd love to go to a launch. I read somewhere that when the Apollo missions blasted off you could feel the ground shake for miles around.

God I love the Internet. Someone filmed the launch from a passenger plane. YouTube is my new hero.

Wow, good find!  She was a beautiful sight from across the river, hopefully I won't forget when she comes back in.  There are two sonic booms, it sounds like a bus falls through the roof.  Kinda scary if you forget it's the shuttle lol.
