The fools need to remake system shock and bring back a game that was actually scary.

It cloned 100% of the gameplay, what more do you want?

personally, i would love a System Shock 3, or something set in the System Shock universe, which i prefered over the Bioshock universe.

Though, about the Minerva's Den DLC, does anyone know what the story will be about and what date it is coming out? I imagine that the antagonist will probably be a main splicer.

Not much info other than its being released some time this year, im guessing a few months from now. Apparently you play a completely new character, with a new story to go with it, and he's helping Tenenbaum take back control of an as yet, unseen area of Rapture. Other than that we dont know much at this point. Hell im all up for a single player, story driven dlc.

Please.  Bioshock is a pansified watered down version of SS2.

SS2 was the DeadSpace of the nineties with a much more intriguing set of villians.

no more than archetecture and design changed in real life between the turn of the 20th century and the 40's

Thats kind of the point though, changing the visuals. Otherwise people would complain "well it just looks like Rapture to me". If they were going for the same look, they might as well have done another sequel set in Rapture but they havnt because theyre doing something completely different. Hence the subtitle and not a number because its not a sequel, more of a spin off.
