    divided opinion.
On the one hand, I think the atmosphere is pretty good. I don't think the graphics are that bad either. However, the aliens don't really fit.
Wasn't there a very early advertising picture that showed the original warriors from Aliens???
These ones don't look very threatening so far.
The mouth doesn't fit at all and reminds me of the horse's teeth from Alien Resurrection.
I'm interested but I really hope that something changes before publication.

Not feeling the sound effects of the Alien roar or the shaking back tubes but I'm not writing this off. I'm looking forward to giving this one a go still.

Agreed about the atmosphere and the environments. And the Alien along the ceiling was cool too.
But the shot the chose to use was a bit eye rolling.
Unfortunately, I live in a world where Stompy exists. That bad boy sets the bar for video game Aliens.

".. Like how some people dress to look tough because they're affraid of hugs."

Mr T isn't afraid of hugs; Mr T is afraid of how hugs make him feel... They make him all... gushey inside. Like an over-ripe watermelon about to burst because of fermentation, or other child-birth like symptoms.  Or so I've been told.  About the child-birth symptoms. Cause men can't give birth, and I'm a man - Mr. T, in fact; a big strong manly man. Grrr. I pity the fools!  IT'S GOOD FOR THE KIDS!!!

I watched the trailer on my tablet initially and thought it looked quite good. Then I watched it on my monitor and yeah, it does look a little rough around the edges. Some parts look quite low-res.

A fictional version of Dilophosaurus wetherilli🥲🙈
Off-topic but, god, I hate JP Dilophosaurus 😂 give me the real life Dilophosaurus anytime

Alien Isolation really was a game changer. How many times do we have to hear the sound of motion trackers? How many times do we have to watch the aliens run around on all fours like a pack of dogs? The sight of pulse rifles isn't exciting anymore. And the inevitable reveal of the Alien Queen is gonna hit as hard as a pillow case full of feathers. Video game developers should take a hint from Alien Isolation and start thinking outside the box.

    All hail stompy!

Facehugged in VR — that is one hell of a unique selling point for the Alien franchise. It is at the core of the franchise culture — the fear of being facehugged and works so well with the jump scares VR gives you. A unique and experience for Alien VR games!

I love these tension builders that are so unique to this franchise. The way the radar pings are used for example. It feels original by the way they are making the most of canon and ways it can be made to feel new again through the use of new technologies.

Why can't game developers get the alien right. What was that rattling, screeching grass hopper looking thing they showed? F**king alien is supposed to be 9 foot tall and imposing.
Not a screeching, crawling cannon fodder. Yawn.
On the plus side, I have just saved myself some money. So, swings and roundabouts.

At least we got alien isolation right?

Yes. We will always have isolation. The best alien/survival horror game ever made.

That was a good little bite sized trailer! Almost seems like a spiritual successor to Isolation with some great tension and sound design. Too bad I won't be playing cause it's VR  :P I'll happily watch a play-through, though!
