Someone made a funny, and you want to be a part of it(but fail, making it awkward). Understandable. But let us get this back on topic, eh? ;D

SpaceMarines

Yeah. It's fine, I guess. ;)

The reason people are going Ape(Alien)-shit over this is because Ridley has not done any Sci-Fi for 25 years.  He's talked about doing Brave New World and Forever War the last 5 years and now he is talking about Alien.

He has not actually done it yet though, but to hear him get all riled up like that means FINALLY we are getting sci-fi again.

I hope he does Forever War.  He's wanted to do it his whole life and he recently got the rights as of a year or two ago.

SM

Riddles doesn't even like sci-fi as such.

SpaceMarines

Yet two of his best films (Alien and Blade Runner) were science fiction.

Only in terms the setting.

The stories weren't exactly sci-fi.  One was a horror film; the other a noirish detective story, with a subtext about what it means to be human.

The "I hate Scifi" spiel is on Legacy and the Quad.

SM

Yup.  Just like HDS.

I didn't think he said "I hate sci-fi" so much as "I don't really care for it that much". It wasn't a genre he had particular interest in, not actual hate for.

Xhan

aaaand?

Where was actual vitriol implied?
