Have you guys even considered the fact that Fox really wants Riddley for financial reasons?  After, all the AVP nonsense the franchise is warn down.  People may have lost interest by now.  Having the acclaimed director who started it all coming back to start it over again adds that precious element known as "hoopla" which can recreate interest in the series.  Sure 12 year olds probalby won't give a shit, but R-rated films aren't aimed at them anyways.

It would be more like "from the man who started it all."  Listen, the average dumb ass doesn't care who directs a movie.  They will be grabbed by marketing.  What this does is bring back some of the fanbase who were scared off by shitty sequels and spin-offs.  The people who loved the first few films haven't all died I think, and those movies made decent money.
