Maybe there was an "emergency" crew?

Really, what doesn't make sense at the moment is why the Sulaco is crawling with aliens. I can't remember there being any crew on-board, & the only known alien was jettisoned along with Ripley.

Why do you assume that sulaco is crawling with Aliens??

Because that is where part of the game takes place, & you are obviously fighting against hordes of xenomorphs.

I looked at screen shots and didn`t felt that way. IMHO on board of Sulac you will find a trace of xenos and then you will travel to Lv.

It's a possibility, but to me it seems like the Sulaco scene will be fairly prevalent towards the beginning at least.

I think that Sulaco level will be more horror like. For example a first Marine level in AvP2, like.

Private Hudson

GI said it is nothing like a remake of the canceled Aliens: CM, it actually takes place after Alien 3, so that would explain why it said Ripley is dead.

You realize WY contact teams or salvagers or pirates might have found the Sulaco first and been narfed by eggs left on board the dropship, ne? This game takes place YEARS after A3.

Why is that confusing? Look at the size and layout of the ship. The entire team fit in one dropship, but there were two onboard. Subtle hint?

Hint to what?  There were four onboard (Hicks, Ripley, Newt and Bishop) and they all got jettisoned.  There should be no one aboard. Unless there was some crew we never heard about.

Some marines from outside may have boarded the ship, to investigate.  It still doesn't explain that quote.
Read the quote carefully:

"Even though Ripley's sleeping chamber was jettisoned, there are others aboard the Sulaco that your team will explore"

The 'others' it is referring to are more sleeping chambers, which are the subject of the sentence, not 'other people'.

It doesn't make sense in that context, either.  Why would they need to explore the other sleeping chambers?

lol, you're taking it literally. Syd Mead was re-contracted specifically to flesh out ALL of the Sulaco, which is designed to handle crews LARGER than the one present in ALIENS, therefore there are other places to explore, including OTHER crew areas.

Looks like the game is messing with the continuity of the films.

This does kind of bother me. Why can't video game developers make something new rather than trying to blend everything together.

This game better have a decent enough script to back this up.

Yeah, but there should be just empty rooms in the Sulaco, unless there were more eggs onboard.  Other crew members - doubt it.

They AREN'T saying crew members. They're saying ***empty*** cryonic bays. that's it. You're reading a literal interpretation of it. The Sulaco's class of ships are designed to accommodate 100 people.
