Im doing a custom pred, and got to the part where i have to paint him, but i was wondering if you guys use paintbrush or airbrush when you paint yours figures

What body do you use as base for your custom?
I only work with paintbrushes.
And I've found out after makeing several figures ( 1:18 scale) that the Predators skin looks best when you give it a base coat, wash then drybrush. The wash really helps to bring out the texture.

Havent made a custom for a while. Decided to make Machiko Noguchi in the same scale to match with my Neca preds.

How did you do that?

I used the Macfarlane Tiffany 2 figure as the base then just used parts from Macfarlane P1 & P2 with a bit of epoxy sculpt.

Really good.
The only thing that might need some change, is perhaps the face, so that it looks a little more "asian".
Still, really really good.

Yeh you're right. I'm planning on doing some touch ups. I also plan on adding trophies and jewelry too.

hottoys figures, and for paint i use that from painting warhammer figures, but it looks to edgey (dunno how els to explain it) and iv seen alot here where the paint job is blended togeather and it looks way better, gues i have to find a airbrush then hehe  :)

Ok guys, here ya go! These are the first progress shots of Joe's paintwork on the custom NECA 18" Predator I modified into the Elder Greyback...and I must say...AWESOME!!!  :)

Joe said he has a long way too go with this, and of course, he is very busy.

But I am so glad to finally see some paint on this Elder conversion...especially the head.

Can't thank you enough Joe...looks fantastic!!!  :)

This dudes got talent! Looks cool how you modified him to remove the polka dots. I thought they removed those but they did not the only reason I thought they were gone was because I keep my predators in a dark shady area and I couldnt see them till looked at him in the light.
