I don't regret this decision.

I've made several of my best friends here. Became less shy about sharing my work. And I stayed on Hicks's good side long enough to be given the opportunity to be on the podcast.

The life of a spider is a constant struggle. You have to survive human activity and at the same time prey on other spiders to prove who is the boss. Below, Scytodes globula, aka tiger spider (long limbs), vs Loxosceles laeta, aka violin spider (the brown one).

Yikes. Kind of feel bad for the tiger spider... only slightly though.


I've taken quite a bit of time away from internet forums for the past few months. Had a lot going on but most of it has been good. Got a puppy, got promoted and a raise and also finally transferred to a closer location for work. I'm also starting classes towards my graduate degree. Definitely feeling better than I was.

I continued working on the transcript.

Everything was fine until Hicks asked if Aliens was Kash's first job. I really wasn't sure if I should write down all his lost thoughts and pick and choose from them to form a coherent sentence, because there's a lot until he starts to follow one.

And yet this is fun to me. I'm genuinely happy to be doing this, because it gives me something to do when I'm not motivated to write fiction.
