(Another) possible creature spotted in old leaked trailer footage.

I was going through some of the old video clips of the original leaked trailer clips (I think it's the one of the ones the guy recorded off his monitor with his (very shaky) mobile camera) and noticed a brief section which to me looks like there's some kind of creature in it, and I've not seen any discussion about it so far (if it has been previously discussed to death, I offer my apologies for dredging it up yet again).

Anyway, to me it looks like a (very) brief clip of some kind of small mammal/marsupial type creature scambling around with it's front arms/paws. I've done my best to first of all make a short .gif with increased contrast to make it a bit more visible, and secondly to use my someone limited mspaint skills to highlight the outline of what I think I can see.

I can't remember where exactly I got the video clip that this is from, all I know is that it's titled "Prometheus Leaked Segment.mpeg" and it's 2.28Mb in size.

If you look again the thing that you think is actually human face looking downwards and screaming enclosed in grey blobbish mass. I was checking it up several months ago ;] Just make gif image going back and forward. Its human, but that grey thing around it is not human at all ;]

We might be giggling...but from the same leak,  a creature/lifeform pops up for 2 frames that matches the description....



I've been speaking about "Space Cat" for a while - you all poopoo me, but I'm not seeing things. Scott has spoke of several creatures rather than a single xeno. You might not want "cute" in this dojo, but not every new form has to be monstrous.

I'm chuckling about the Jockey Cat concept BUT SERIOUSLY how about this take on things....

The Engineers are connected to ancient Egypt/Maya - we all know of the significance of felines in these religions. What if the Engineers have one travelling with them as a "familiar"?

THEN what if Ripley was actually re-inacting events that had preceeded here 30 years before? Ripley taking the role of Engineer, fighting off the lifeform inadvertently created by her own race, but proving more of a hinderance and needing to be exterminated. Jones being representative of the familiar adopted by the ancient race.

In Prometheus, the Engineers fight off their (possibly accidental) creation: the humans

In Alien, Ripley (the Engineer) fights off the creation of the Xenomorph. Arguably a product of her species accidental intervention.

Both, symbolically with feline creatures at their side.

Does the story cycle of both Prometheus and Alien correspond with one another, being analogous to mans constant quest to become the creator, when really, he has perfection around him already...a cat

It's clearly a guinea pig. No doubt an android spy sent by Yutani as a stowaway on Prometheus, biding its time before executing its mission.

Yup, and not to forget there was that "leaked" "script" from a while back that had the film start with a flashback to Earth's ancient past, with a large spacecraft landing, and a small, inquisitive primate creature getting close to it, and getting grabbed and pulled inside. Maybe this is what we're seeing in these frames?
