There's no revelatory differences in any cut. The Workprint is missing a couple of shots here and there. (Their earlier scene as they depart on the foraging mission has some different dialogue though).
I didn't find it especially confusing. The way it's cut shows us they're just running blindly, then when they exit the vent, Golic stops and looks confused not knowing where they are.
