Watched both series of The Capture last week.
I'd seen the first back when it was originally broadcast but it was so long ago I couldn't remember anything about it, so I figured I'd give it another run through ahead of the second series. I'm surprised I'd managed to blank it because it was bloody awesome. Occasionally walks a pretty fine line between believable and far-fetched, but it just about manages to stay on the right side throughout.
Second series was also good but it did cross over that line at times, and also fell into the trap a lot of these kinda shows do in that it started getting needlessly convoluted in pursuit of shocking plot twists. Add to which I get the impression the writers struggled to find anything substantive for some of the returning cast members to do. Still, there were several proper chilling moments in it and the cast continued to be excellent.
