A Predator Fire Team Elite game? Why not?

Basically take the same premise, co-op shooter/hack n slash game where you are 1 of 3 Predator hunters taking on waves of xenomorphs, hell...throw in Colonial Marines too if you want. I've had this idea in my head for the last 10 minutes. And this is all I can think about:

To answer your question directly I have no idea, Predator is just as iconic as Alien. Maybe it that the Predator games didn't so well even hunting ground is losing numbers slowly.

I just don't understand how they haven't made a playable campaign/multiplayer predator game. Similar to the original Predator movie or Predator 2.

Not some third person Predator concrete jungle type game, not that I don't like it.

But imagine AVP2010 style with one player or a clan of predators playing against a 10 man multiplayer lobby with its own campaign.

For a second, I thought you suggested a game where three Colonial Marines take on hundreds of Predators.
With the current state of the EU, it would be fitting.

Concrete Jungle came pretty close but didn't have the tech or mechanics behind it.

I guess there is also how to create a story that everyone can follow. Despite CJ's crazy ass story, it was a fun crazy ass story that has a likable Predator character, interesting setting, and a sincere attempt of making a fun Predator game. Not perfect sure, but I can see the ideas they wanted to execute for the Predator gameplay and an Arkham/Shadow of Mordor plan is perfect for a new Predator game.
