Oh and how is the flood anything like the thing?
Come on Star wars didn't invent doomsday devices...

1. Have you looked at the deformed marines in Halo1-2?

2.Star Wars was the first to invent the largest doomsday device ;)

1. Yes, and the thing is nothing like them. The flood marines look like marines gone moudly.
The Thing is a warped, melting version of what it's imitating.

2.That doesn't really mean that Bungie copied star wars. When i played halo i didn't think of star wars when i saw the Halo. Maybe when you play games you try and note all the rip off's but i don't.

I enjoyed the 1st Halo, didnt like the 2nd one as much. Also, Halo has ripped off Aliens quite a bit to. It pretty much copied the designs for the Sulaco, Dropship and Pulse Rife.

1.The Flood marines are also warped.

2.When I got to the level where Cortana tells Cheif about Halo, she says that it will destroy the univeres, and the Death Star can destroy all life in the universe, if the Empire had 100 light years of dominion.

3.We must stop using numbers before it gets out of hand.

P.S I just make observations when something bores the hell out of me.

1. The flood marines arn't exactly warped like the thing. The thing was really warped. It had extra heads melting out of its neck and such, the flood are just a bit... mouldy with tentacles.

2. Thats a really bad reason to accuse Bungie of stealing the idea of the death star... :P
How many story lines have something that can destroy the universe?

3. I agree.

Well, they are similar, but I guess it's more of a homage than a rip.

I think James Bond has had them several times.

Oh yeah and in the Halo Wars trailer one of the Elites makes a clicking sound, similar to the Preds.

I saw that noise as more of a growl.

Epic trailer. I just wish they'd release it on PC as well... Hopefully they will though.

The trailer did send shivers down my spine(At how cool it looked), and if it is for PC it would be exclusive to VISTA.

There was a new campaign demo out today that showcased the replay feature.

The player flew his camera up alongside one of the pelican dropships, and you can see a red circle sticker like that on the dropship in Aliens.

Now that is a cool homage.

im not a fan of sci fi to begin with. I love the alien and predator movies, because they arent stupid like star wars, etc. Halo... it just didnt stand out for me. It is was just another fps, of which there is definately better.

Wow.. Well in my opinion Aliens and Predator is the epitome of Sci-Fi.  Same goes for Halo..  I know what you mean about Star Wars, though I love the franchise.. But it is a bit of a space opera.  Halo is your traditional sci-fi offering.. with aliens, marines, and badassery.  :)
