The xenomorph itself is a mutant born from a mutated dna gene that is spawned from human + alien encounter
I guess that as long as the humanoid mutant has a long penis head of death instead of a mans, most of you "fans" are ok with it ( should that concern me?)
In fact i remember that under the dome of the traditional xeno lies human skull eye sockets....and a partial nasal cavity, has human lips and teeth........ 2arms, 2legs........sounds kinda the same as a man to me?
It isnt really the disign i find scary in alien cannon its the nature of the creature itself. It is whats going to happen if that thing gets hold of you ( they wanna f**k you , rip your heart out and then eat you:)
What amazes me about some of you is that your sooooooooo concerned with the "look" when in fact what i think is going to be shown are creatures that have a much much more frightening "nature" ( but still very nasty looking little beastys )
As a sidenote............. How the "mutants" look in hills have eyes isnt what makes them scary........its the fact that they wanna eat your dog , f**k your mom and sister and do horrible shit all the while, i dont remember sloth from the goonies wanting to do anything of that nature ( although would have made a good sideplot in my oppinion) but based on his look you would jump straight to that conclusion...... And how stupid would you look lolz:)
Hello,
I hope one day people will get this: Cinema is a PICTURE in motion, and
this is an art.
There where a time in the old days before Hollywood overrun the market where
people took care of what they had to shot.
Because they weren't rich and the development of a movie consumed a lot of
money and time.
When you shoot a movie, you take care of what to place into the square thing
called screen.
You don't stupidly shoot something as it is today.
It had to have meaning with the image because it's always stronger that the sound
which were a "nice addition" to the cinema but not something that should
be a whole alone.
Also, it didn't have to be story, it just had to be an art.
The look is important, ALIEN became what it is because of the creature.
Because of its design making a print into people head when first saw.
Then of course its action also printed in the head of the audience a mark
but since the movie is about the "look" (I dare you to watch a film with
your eyes closed) I believe people want new / original experiences.
At least I do.
Seeing how is prometheus for now, it just feels uninspired and déjà vu.
ehm....then what do you want Prometheus to be?? It is very easy to judge a movie that is 6 months from release by a one minute long teaser...(it's not even a trailer)....
Hello,
It is weird that in 5 years with 2 movie released (AVP-R & PREDATORS)
people still tells me "How can you judge by a trailer, there is still
6 months to go".
I said I was not going to like AVP-R & PREDATORS and it'll be shit to me
because they are both uninspired.
I was right, I did not like.
As I do know I won't like this one.
Visual Effects, ever heard about them?
Final Cut approval, ever heard about it?
Distribution of a movie, ever heard about it?
This three elements can take a YEAR alone
while the movie is already shot.
And in a hollywood movie, the story is usually
already done even before the shooting of it
with "sometime" minor changes.
So your 6 months thing is not even a reason.
And I don't want prometheus to be anything
anymore because I know it's not gonna be
something original.
The trailer already spotted it.
Unless you've never seen holograms, alien in a suit,
alien creating life, human expedition on another planet
that turns bad, blablabla.
