As a fan of the stories, I did find myself somewhat annoyed at the liberties they took. But, overall, it was still a very enjoyable film.

have you seen the new BBC series? although it's a modernisation, in some ways it's more faithful to the originals. also avoid the Asylum version, it has dinosaurs in it :o

I watched LA Confidential again yesterday, great movie.

Red Dawn
A beautifully shot and well acted story. Not the cheesy action movie everyone thinks it is. Despite an outlandish premise, it is done suprisingly believable and makes for a very solid and sad film. An underrated classic.

Yeah, that's great. My favorite character in that was Col. Andrew Tanner (Powers Booth) the shot down pilot.

Boothe has been in some kickass stuff.
Tombstone, Frailty, By Dawn's Early Light.
He really is at his best in this film.
