have you seen the new BBC series? although it's a modernisation, in some ways it's more faithful to the originals. also avoid the Asylum version, it has dinosaurs in it

A beautifully shot and well acted story. Not the cheesy action movie everyone thinks it is. Despite an outlandish premise, it is done suprisingly believable and makes for a very solid and sad film. An underrated classic.

Yeah, that's great. My favorite character in that was Col. Andrew Tanner (Powers Booth) the shot down pilot.

Tombstone, Frailty, By Dawn's Early Light.
He really is at his best in this film.
