Ridley Scott to direct 'Raised by Wolves', Sci-Fi drama series

Indeed, once post-production on a film/series starts, all news and leaks just seem to dry up.

Not real news per se, but some more information on the strong environmental focus of the production.

On Raised By Wolves and The Watch we eliminated all plastic water bottles (100's of thousands of bottles), plastic cutlery, polystyrene containers and food waste (turned in compost for township gardens) AND introduced meat-free days. Bit by bit, reducing our carbon footprint and caring for our planet - our Film Afrika Ethos demands it. Thank you all for your contribution - you are amazing.

I just found an article from November 1 (don't know how me missed that) with the poster of Wolves (on the right) but I cannot find high quality one. I don't have access to HBO Max as I'm from UK.

mmm... I wonder when HBO Max will be available in UK and rest of commonwealth? Don't see any dates mentioned anywhere? I thought it would be a global release in May 2020?

If you watch that presentation briefly HBO is going big so I cannot imagine not releasing Wolves in May.

Yep, HBO confirmed at last night's TCA20 event that RBW will be included in the first round of shows. So it's definitely looking like a May premiere.

Irish actress Niamh Algar about working with Ridley. Interview from 29 July 2019:

"It's monumental, the scale of it is huge. And Ridley is – well, it's Ridley Scott!" she exclaims. "I grew up watching his movies, as did everyone. He's established himself, and the worlds that he has created, as formative experiences for so many people, and it's because he really builds these worlds so brilliantly. We're shooting out in the desert, and the mountains, and all around Cape Town. I can't get over the scale of it. So I think watching it is going to be mind-blowing."

Algar has had a lifelong love affair with boxing, which helps her deal with any worries or anxiety – but it has also come in very handy for her action-heavy role in Raised By Wolves.

"I play Sue, and she's a combat medic caught up in a war between two main armies, all trying to survive because Earth has expelled all of its natural resources and oxygen levels are critical – it's terrifying but it's also what Ridley thinks people are anticipating about where our future might be heading! She and her husband, played by Travis Fimmel, head off, and then there's a parallel story about two androids who are raising human children. I'm so excited about it."

That's quite a while back, how did we miss that one? Some new plot points she drops there:

- she's a combat medic caught up in a war between two main armies
- Earth has expelled all of its natural resources and oxygen levels are critical
- there's a parallel story about two androids who are raising human children

Hopefully the trailer will come out sometime this month.

Irish actress Niamh Algar has revealed that she bonded with veteran director Ridley Scott through their mutual interest in boxing.

The Mullingar native impressed the 82-year-old director with a video of her boxing and acting talent that the Gladiator director cast her in Raised by Wolves.
