Hacksaw Ridge

Half of this is a really excellent war movie, the other half is an okay-ish drama. And even the drama half still has spurting blood in it, so you know Mel Gibson made it.

It takes quite a lot for movie violence to shock me these days, but the bit where the bloke with the BAR picks up the dismembered torso and uses it as a meatshield succeeded.

And yet it's still less brutal than The Passion.

Likewise. Mindless fun but it is an odd one as initially the film has a very serious and interesting tone about it ... but by the time Kev arrives on Hopper's old rusted Tanker it becomes an absolute parody at times.
