I know I'm way late on this, but I finally watched Andor and I think it mostly lived up to they praise I've seen for it. I really enjoyed it!
It's a dystopian sci-fi political drama that really establishes the empire as this giant fascist thumb pressing down on normal and working-class people, and the daunting, almost hopeless feeling task of creating a rebellion from the fringes to rise against them. Also has absolutely beautiful and amazing cinematography and production design. Really captures that 70's aesthetic and look of the original films. I was blown away by the overall production and writing.
I've kinda lost the passion and love for Star Wars since the sequel trilogy. But this gives me a glimmer of hope for some actually good and impactful story-telling in Star Wars, and it's surprisingly from a series that I had completely written off initially.
