I think this maquette is pretty decent. Sure it has the anorexic-looking Resurrection ribs but at least it still looks like an Alien. Lose the dreads though.

The A3 design was really quite good IMO. Had it been turned into a biped with dorsal spines for subsequent films, I think ADI would've nailed it.
