My mommy always said there were no absurdly huge alien necks - no real ones - but there are.

Y'know, I actually liked the dog alien, and some odd adi's later work wasn't that bad(wolf looked pretty good when you could see him), but what happened here?

You're mistaken. It's an alternate design of the adult Queen by Winston, made in the pre-production phase. Cameron never had a Queen-burster or Queen-hugger or anything like that.
