^ I thought that was a production still at first glance ^. Very nice!

Another beauty! Looks like the 25-ft cable, attached to the back of the head, can be seen trailing behind the Alien (in between Lambert's arm and side)?

Unfortunately, the full-frontal angle for the adult was its weakest point, imo. Looking roughly like a laboratory skeleton you'd find in a science lab. It's telling that the full-frontal angle is used only once in the finished film (blocking the shuttle's doorway before ejection into space).

That uncomfortable thinness was a strength that the film never fully exploited.

The Alien (Bolaji) looks even thinner in the outtakes / behind-the-scenes footage than he did in the film.

My favourite shot of the Alien is an outtake of this scene, where we see it standing up in front of Lambert from the front. About the only shot that showcases that thinness.

As great as the costume is as a piece of artwork, I've always felt it looks a bit naff when you finally see it in full towards the end of the movie.

Scott absolutely made the right call to only show you partial glimpses of it.

This one?

Yes, that's a nice shot. I like the one right after it - when it stands there for a moment before turning on Parker:

That's the one. Looks great in motion.

Not having Bolaji in the suit didn't help.

It's a pity he couldn't do his own stunts - although, he supposedly tried before being replaced by Eddie Powell for Brett's death scene.

The shots of the Alien bouncing off the shuttle's hull, using Bolaji's skeletal frame, could've looked more convincing than what we got.

Man that looks like something out of a alien isolation, And I shouldn't be surprised because The game was directly inspired by this

Yeah, Terminator is from 1984. Aliens from 1986, but Terminator wasn't consider as franchise yet I suppose.

Suppose it could also be that The Terminator wasn't released yet when he pitched Aliens?
