'Twas intense. Although the way I saw it Weller was basically the next in a long line of Doakes surrogates. The show has been weaker ever since they did away with Doakey because you don't have anyone left who's genuinely appalled with what Dexter does - at this point Dexter himself is the only one who tries to verbally remind we the audience that he's supposed to be an inhuman monster. And after the portrait of all hell that was Trinity, those reminders pale by comparison.

Still a great show. Looking forward to following along with you guys once it starts up again.

I really hope Deb finds out. Early on.

And I agree on all points; especially the one about Deb finding out. One of the showrunners said that Season 5's little moment with her, Dex, and Lumen was the last time they would 'dangle' Deb finding out, so that sounds promising.
