I'm hesitant to say we've bought a house because any number of things could still go wrong, but our offer was accepted and it's off the market ;D

Thanks!

Wound up costing quite a bit more than the other place we were after but it's worth it. Plus we both agree this is the kind of house where we'll never need to move again (until we get too old to climb stairs :P)

Congrats!

Too old to climb stairs comes much later, yes, but hating all those damn stairs comes much earlier!  :)

Assuming all goes well, we'll have an apple tree in the garden to help us feel like proper adults :P

Be certain they're edible. There are poisonous apples out there!

Look at you. You're all grown up now.

I'm not crying.
You're crying.

Seriously though - well done to you and your partner.
Fruit trees are great. We've got several in our big yard.
2 Orange Trees
1 very big f**k off size Mandarin tree
1 Lemon tree
1 Lime tree
1 Apple tree
2 Peach trees
And countless vegetables, herbs, bulbs and leafy greens

All organic too.
I take zero credit for any of them as it's all down to my missus who is quite the green thumb.

We eat a lot from our yard all year round. It's great.

There's a vegetable allotment in the garden too, but given how inept at gardening we both are I reckon that'll be dead within a year :P
