Here's a storyline that might be feasible. Following this:

The company knows about everything on the Sulaco given information sent by its computer.

Given that information, they investigate the derelict ship (the Sulaco team should have done that but couldn't given what happened in the second movie; that has to be noted because they already had the coordinates to the beacon, and thus the alien craft). The alien ship has been damaged by the nuclear blast to such an extent that there's nothing to recover from it.

That's why when they receive info about Ripley, then they find the opportunity to capture their pokemon.

Finally, an interesting side note: Bishop tells Ripley that the company knows everything because ship computers send information automatically to the company. This also happened in the first movie, which is why the company was able to order Mother to reroute the Nostromo to the new coordinates. That also implies that the company had the coordinates of the beacon as early as the first movie but didn't bother to investigate the site for decades between the first and second movies, and not even after they set up a colony on the same rock.

Yeah it's because they didn't actually have the coordinates, for reasons spelled out in the other thread because for some reason you're posting the same stuff in both places.
