I think that head confirm that SJ will not have a pure human appearance in the film.
Look at that head...the eyes holes are very apart from each other.Maybe a deformed human face inside it?

I think everyones missing something here. Of course this is speculation but I'm thinking the crew link up with the Jockey ship, use the "wormhole cannon" and get sent to the planet where the ship crashes. The wormhole takes them into the futurepast and at the end, one of the characters sends out the warning signal which is picked up by the Nostomo 30 years later.

Wouldn't that wormhole take them into the past?

Yes, I meant past, the wormhole cannon "shoots" them back in time to the planet on which the ship is seen crashing.

So i guess we will get our live Engineer.
BTW the guy who leaked the info about the giant head sculpture said he saw an 8ft tall actor playing the Engineer in a cryo rack...
I've got no doubt we will see them alive and kicking.
Either an original one, a mutated human that becomes one or a reborn one from Shaw.

Which would be fine. The main concern is that a human mutation leads to the predatory variety of creature hunting the rest of the crew. Having someone agonisingly mutate into something, as a symptom, is OK. Just so long as a 'pure' strain of something else is walking/slithering around.

Bare in mind though that it's missing the trunk/breathing apparatus. So it would obviously appear flatter.

I was referring more to the shape of the skull. The eyes are placed differently and the front of the skull is flattened in a way the other wasn't.

But those are early-ish Space Jockey creature designs.

Really, we need to see something a bit more 'Farscape'-like. I think it's the only franchise which has ever come close to regularly reproducing alien species which are as exotic as you'd expect to come from something like the derelict.
