As long as they didn't ended up in final product i suggest there's no problem with them.

They were a clear demonstration of the lack of any coherent plan or thought with this...movie. Even resurrection didn't go looking to other franchises to save its own bacon. It had a direction. The Predator was just a glued together mess of bad ideas, and it left the factory without all its screws tightened. It was a Grade A fustercluck.

They're probably still filming alternate endings.

Honestly it's those last minute ending ideas that hurt the movie the most. Seriously hope any future installment blows that Predator killer suit outta the god damn airlock.

Every Predator movie feels self-contained so they can easily discard The Predator and no one will even bat an eyelash. It's not like the general public is saying... what happened to Royce!? That's the beauty of the Predator franchise. No reoccurring characters, no reoccurring Predators, all barely tied together with the equivalent to easter eggs versus real story threads.
