Why not just give the last movie a sequel? What the hell!

The last one was a remake, there's a difference between the two. The 2010 film didn't do well as the studio hope for. It made less on it's opening week compare to the remake of Friday the 13th did. Next year's Friday the 13th movie is a reboot ignoring the events of the 2009 movie. This movie will likely do the same.
