I don't really get why it all ^^^ started (and i'm too lazy to figure it out) but if it has something to do with TSR's obsession with Rolston and Co then yeah sometimes it's a little slightly annoying.

It's about that, the derailing of topics or the combination of both.

Some say derailing is just "following the flow" of the conversation. Could be...
But as with most things, there are differences. And you don't always have to go with the flow.

It's not even about liking or disliking. It's about the constant repetition.

A new Terminator movie that gets back to basics.

"A T-800 is send to our current time to kill certain individuals to speed up the creation of Skynet, while a couple of cops are trying to figure out what's going on."

I just want to something similar to the original but with more daytime action, set in our current time.
Possible Terminator actor: Jason Statham, Terry Crews,...

Freddy Has Fingered
A sequel to Freddy Got Fingered. This time he's the accused.

Tape Monsters: A group known as the Rights & Justice has fought against the terrorist organization Blood River for nearly three years, when suddenly bodies of the some of the remaining terrorists are starting to show up around the city, in what could easily described as quick bloodbaths. After the realization of a new threat that's not human, Rick Dwayne (Leader of the Rights and Justice) recruits a captured terrorist in the hopes they can help stop their neutral enemy that threatens all of humanity.

Cast:
Knowing this is a more original idea from myself (Though I'm sure the plot itself is just as simple as it gets) I've never really thought about a cast. To be honest I'd want new blood, people you just couldn't associate with anything else. The villain character is the only one where there is definate need in his voice, if anyone has seen Transformers Prime (An animated Transformers show and probably one of the better ones) I'd want a mix between the Starscream voice and Megatron voice, something in between that line would be fantastic, for me it's kind of hard to describe the voice I want.

I'd also say it'd probably be separated into 3 parts because the story is so large (And because if I didn't it'd probably be at least two hours a movie or at least pretty close to it.)

Unexpected: With Jeff Goldblum

They just drop him off at some random place in the world and he reacts to whatever happens.

"Oh my...God look at that. Can you see this? They're just...eating that spider. Well, that's life for you".

"Excuse me, e..excuse me is there a...a hotel in the area or are we...just...oh we are are? Ok cool. I guess we are. These logs are sacred. Look at me, I'm one of them now."

I like jokes and all, but I think sometimes it's too much. Sorry guys.

Nailed it. For many of us, it's often pretty tiresome.

Perhaps not worth getting all hot and bothered over though, and a few days break from the site might do more good than arguing about it.

On Topic:

A very very Giger inspired movie that's genuinely faithful to his aesthetic, but isn't in the Alien franchise or a Species sequel.

Parts of it certainly would be. You'd want to blend it into a more mundane, if heavily art directed, reality through dreams, unreliable narrators or similar cheats.

Aye! we need a surreal horror movie to explore deep in Giger's mind. Just in recent years, you have plenty of solid weird fiction examples like "Beyond the Black Rainbow", "Mandy" or the superior Under the Skin. You just need to experiment with psychedelic horror, surrealism and shit like that. David Lynch is a good role model too. Plus, they should adapt Giger's THE TOURIST in a BladeRunner-like setting. I want it all!  ;D

Honestly I'm thinking Hannibal (series), but with the serial killer plot replaced with either rape trauma, or parasites which may or may not be real, and all of the "arty" shots, dreams and confabulations done Giger style. And of course, a lot of the opulence replaced with poverty and urban decay.

Hannibal series is amazing. It's a solid role model for a psychological-surrealistic horror movie. And yes, ambiguity is part of the game indeed.

I've worked on a similar project in graphic novel form, however it's stuck in limbo and has been for a few years. The script, concept art and first ten pages still exist though, so, one day...
