So when the guys are descending through the atmosphere, Lope and his partner crack a joke.

That's not accurate, but it kinda goes like that.
First off, did I hear this right? Was there a deleted scene somewhere with a connection to this? Why was it necessary? I feel like it's completely misplaced. The other banter/jokes go down well because they make sense in the moment, this feels like it needed something prior otherwise it adds nothing. The joke doesn't particular make sense either given the circumstances.
It's very Prometheus-like, ie. lapdancing, bets and credits, all that.
If he said something completely different please correct me.
