Colin just confirmed on IMDB that this still is f**ked up, The Alien does not have 1 finger... I repeat, the Alien has more than 1 finger. 

All this because of a photo... I wonder the next promo pic ought to be a clear photo of the Alien digits... to make your minds rest a bit... Also, the suit will not be shown for more than a few seconds, so the CG will distinctly show how may fingers it has... not that it would affect the story and all...
