Glad you mentioned Stardust - love that film.

It's an amazing film!  Stardust was a blind buy for me and I have no regrets.  Seriously, I didn't even hear about the film until I saw the DVD in stores.  It's as if it went under the radar.  And what a nice surprise it was.

Yeah, it had some pretty solid characters and a great script as well.  Funny how I've turned on the tv and I'm looking at Charlize now in Devils Advocate - she's everywhere these days...

Funny how I've turned on the tv and I'm looking at Charlize now in Devils Advocate - she's everywhere these days...

I know! She's getting more attention than she did following her Oscar win for Monster.  Honestly, I say it's about time.  She's very underrated as an actress.  So many people are stuck on over-exposed actresses like Julia Roberts, Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry etc. and actresses who are far more diverse are overlooked.  And it's not only Charlize.  There's so many actresses who keep producing great work and somehow still get overlooked.

On the other hand, I can't help but wonder if Charlize's talent for blending into different roles is part of the reason she's overlooked.  I've often heard or read people saying that they watched a movie with Charlize in it and didn't realise it was her.

Either way, it's not important.  Quality of performances > quantity of fans.
