They certainly are jammy bastards.  :D

Not a big fan of the soundtrack.  :-\ Sounds very... artificial in places, as if they didn't use a real orchestra.

...

I'm actually pretty sure they didn't. Lame.

Heroic is kicking my ass. These concussion cannon Elites are so f**king irritating with their spray n' strafe.

Try Legendary, on solo. Then you will be a man, my son.

..They have for every Halo game, dude. Which parts are you referring to anyways?

Every part, really. The bursts of choir in the background sound fake and synthesized, the strings sound bland (I'm not talking about the composition, but the lack of depth the sound has) and the percussion in every track lacks substance and power - all of which points to it not having been performed, live, by an orchestra. The only track that sounded real was the menu song (Overture). If it was done by an orchestra, the post-recording editors did a piss-poor job.

First game was entirely synthesizer. 'Cept for the monks.

Not the whole thing, actually; all of the strings and percussion were live.

So I finished this badboy on Legendary today. The campaign is pretty fun, if a little melodramatic at times. Although I did love the bit with...

Spoiler
Cortana.

Now for multiplayer.

I started on Firefight to get back into the swing of things since I have not played Halo for a few months.
This also gave me the opportunity to earn Credits and buy stuff for my armor.
I am getting beat down pretty good, but that's why they lost the war later. They back stabbed their best soldiers.  :P

Why do the Covenant now speak an alien language when they spoke english in the first games?
Granted this makes more sense, but it is inconsistent with the series.

Beat the first three levels. Lovin this.
I may have to get ODST.

I know. Perhaps I should have made it more clear.
Did they just suddenly decide to learn English and speak it on the battlefield?
Perhaps it was just the game's way of making them easier to understand, but why then did the Grunts speak English but the Elites didn't until Halo 2? And in Halo 2, which takes place immediatly after 1, they all speak it fluently.
I am confused. But in the end, it is a minor issue. It just opens up one hell of a floodgate.

The grunts consider it a pride to know a human language and the elites learned taunts.
And you know, how to call you demon :P
