Plastic people ...

Cameron, has lost his marbles. I dread what will happen to THE TERMINATOR (1984) 4K release.

Aliens 4K release is a travesty. Anyone who says it's fine don't know what they are talking about, it's objectively bad.

Ah man this is such a good and detailed analysis on just how janky the 4K is. Sometimes people look like wax but with grain somehow.

They should have just scanned the film and did the original color grading like it says in the beginning.

Casey's in good company. Now the rest of the cast is plastic, too!

Thankfully, the only thing they messed up on the Alien 4K release was the box cover.

ALIEN (1979) 4K is good - but, there's still plenty of room for improvement:

* The Director's Cut was treated abominably. The scenes exclusive to the 2003 / 2010 cut are poor upscales. The CGI enhancements (stars and Derelict Ship opening mist, etc) are missing.

* The rest of the 2003 / 2010 bonus features should have been added (as with the ALIENS 4K release).

* A BD of the new restoration, instead of the old 2010 disc (again, as with the ALIENS 4K release), should have been included.

* Both covers (ALIEN & ALIENS) suck.

* The original production audio track from the ALIEN 1999 DVD is still absent.

The film itself is, thankfully, an upgrade on the 2010 BD and well worth getting.
