Which Alien prequel had their characters commit more idiotic decisions?

The entire premise is terrible. I can't believe that people are trying to reason away this stupidity carried over from Prometheus.

The Bond Villain style sequence with Oram at the Ovomorph chamber was kinda idiotic.

Oram made Fifield and Milburne look reasonably intelligent.

He was surrounded by evidence of foul play, crew members had died already, and he was aware of a potential threat directly in front of him. And still, he followed a psycho and looked in his eggs.

He had the means and information to not screw things up even more, yet he did.

Prometheus had several characters make dumb decisions.

Covenant had a few characters make incredibly stupid decisions.

Except for ol' "Straight Line" Vickers, who made the dumbest mistake of all.

When the biologist (someone who studies life forms) is asked if he wants to stay in the pyramid (after having discovered the Engineers) or instead return to the ship, his answer was "no, ship is good". So yeah. The prettiest Alien movie has some extraordinarily stupid characters.

While I knew Prometheus was going to lose the contest, it's clear that both the Prometheus and Covenant characters are card carrying members of the same establishments.

They're both shitty.  I remain baffled as to why anyone would want a third helping.
