A coincidence.

Like how Jerry Lambert looks a lot like Hudson.

And the clear link of Bishop?

Looking a lot like Hudson must be his specialty.

I mean it would also make sense for Hudson to be the descendant of Jerry Lambert as Lambert seemed like a bit of a player, constantly cracking jokes in an attempt to impress the women around him (with varying degrees of success). So it wouldn't be too far a stretch to say that on a one night stand he may have gotten someone pregnant maybe without him even knowing about it.

If you had to put AVP into your canon then would you consider him a descendant? Or is the similar appearance and Bishop link just a massive coincidence?

I was banging on about this is (kinda) in a different thread. I found a video with this stuff, but apparently there are a lot of fanon wishlists that paint out CBW as father of Peter (which works of feasibly date-wise). So, yeah - if you want to tie in the 'verses then he could well be.

The new Alien Canon operates without recognition of AVP.
Lance Henriksen is two different characters, in two different licenses.

AVP 2010 solidifies Michael Bishop as synthetic IMO-
Charles Bishop Weyland's consciousness within synthetic after synthetic,
each with a new name, Charles, Michael, Karl.
(Predator Series, AVP, AVPR, Alien, Aliens A3, AVP 2010)

Within this AVP canon, they're undoubtedly related because they're in essence the same person.

BUT...

Within the new Alien Canon which includes Prometheus and The Weyland-Yutani Report,  Michael Bishop is human.
Unrelated to Peter Weyland, following in his footsteps.
(Charles Bishop Weyland, Karl Bishop Weyland- who?)

Unless they decide to make an AvP movie that does. In the same way that they made two Predator movies that confirm both the existence of Xenos and Engineers.

The TV-verse (if it happens) may tie in all that stuff. Why not? It'd be a huge amount of fun for people that genuinely love the franchises, I think it'd be great.

Nowadays, lots of shows go on for years - I was saying in a different thread about all the interconnected strands you could do with a decent TV show - you could cover the gamut (I don't know if you could have Blade Runners - are they they same production company? But yeah - A K-upgrade hunting down David? I'd buy that for a dollar.).

Not they're likely to write an AvP movie any time soon more's the pity.

Fair enough.

-Alien has to acknowledge AVP, not the other way around IMO.
-Shows that go on for years are often too long.
-I'm very happy they aren't.

Separate licenses, separate continuities.

No.

There is no 'TV-verse'.

Or such a word as 'TV-verse'.

Yes and no - there was a rumour (that seems to be gathering pace in some quarters) that there's an Alien TV show in the offing...

Some of the discussion there in that thread is of course about what direction they couldn't and couldn't take which is what I was referring to here.

Sure there is - I just invented it.
