You mean because of the widening crown section? Perhaps, but so what? It also has a tail with the three-clawed hand on the end, so the two are just as distinct as they are similar.
Btw, wouldn't it be a case of the Praetorian resembling the action figure, seeing as the figure came out years before the Praetorian was ever invented (unless you count the ones in the AVP arcade game which, come to think of it, are much more similar to the gorilla alien).
