Yes, SpaceX Crew-1.  Perfect launch, the weather was cool and the rocket lit up the sky.

That is so cool. Another reason why I wish I lived in Florida!

I was lucky enough to see the shuttle Columbia take off back in the late 90s while on holiday in Florida.

The amazing thing is it was complete chance - the launch was originally scheduled for a couple of weeks previous but got delayed for some reason or other, and the day we went we didn't even know it was happening

Also heard the shuttle come in to land while I was out in L.A. about 10 years later. Most amusing thing about that was the radio warning of the sonic boom, telling people not to phone the cops if they heard an explosion that afternoon.

I'm quite close to Mahia where a lot of the Rocketlab stuff goes up, but because of the uncertainty around all space launches and the geography (although it's basically just down the street, as the crow flies, by the roads that exist it's a lengthy trip), I've not made it to see one.

Oohh man, I'm jealous. Did you snag any pictures? I'm hoping to go see the first launch when the UK's spaceport is up and running myself.

I have a video, I'll upload it and post it soon  :)

That's honestly all I could parse from the headline.

I'm now engaged.

I knew it was coming, but wasn't expecting it to be today (which is the anniversary of when we first said "I love you" to each other). He proposed in the park where we had lunch the day before I moved.

Wow, that would be one of the unmade remakes right? Is that the one John Carpenter was going to do?

It's the first one they tried making in the early 80s. Carpenter's was about ten years later, I already have that one.
