To be fair with the third, they crammed a book into the space of about 4/5 episodes whereas they gave the other two entire seasons and a bit.

Why watch something when you can read something! 

I'll be starting book 4 once I've seen the season.  Picked up the book last weekend.

I rarely find reading as engaging, even though I do it plenty, it's dependent on the author. Just finished the new Season, good stuff.

A lot depends on my mood too. In general I absolutely love sitting down with a book, but if I'm not in the mood I just end up reading the same page over and over until I give up.
