13 hours of sleep.

Wow, you must have been beat!

Been out in the heat too much lately and on little sleep. Slept like a rock.

I need a day like that but my upbringing makes me feel guilty if I sleep that long.

It's really hot.
Time for Barbecue.

I'm so ready for this heat to disappear. And in all of it, I've not yet enjoyed a beer and a burger outside the pub.

Can we trade? It's cold over here.

Oh gladly. I miss the cold rain (but I still want to get that beer and burger in before it goes).

The heat and humidity needs to go away. I want grey skies, cool winds and thunder.

About 23c here, not too hot and not too cold. Perfect.

91F over here. It's not the heat that's usually the problem, it's the humidity. As soon as you stop walking, the air just gets oppressive.

Word. I visited Las Vegas about ten years ago and it was 40C, but it was so bone dry in the desert it honestly wasn't that bad. If it ever got to 40C here in the UK I think people would die.

I don't think its been as bad this year.  There was one stretch end of june-july that was pretty bad but now that the days are getting shorter its still hot and humid but they don't last as long.

August is always rough though. But once we're through that, it starts to get better. I'm just hoping we get a decent fall this year.

August is usually rougher up here than it has been.  I don't think it has been as humid as typical.

Of course last August I was in Louisiana during this time in the woods, so everything feels better.
