Went out of town the past few days to visit a sick relative before Christmas. In order to do this, I had to switch shifts with a coworker. They'd cover my shifts during the week, and I'd work Friday through Sunday for them, and Christmas Eve, because I wanted it. So I pulled into work this morning, and almost made it to the door, when here comes my coworker.

After some confusion, we went to speak to the boss. Turns out, boss had forgotten to call me and say that I couldn't have Friday, because I was about to slip into overtime. Well, I didn't get up at 5am and drive all the way to work for nothing. Long story short, I was able to work my shift. I'm happy.
