About a Boy

My secret rom-com shame. I love this movie.

Perhaps run time, just isn't an issue for me if it's good, I'd watch them easily all in one day and then the appendices.

I've been on an Aaron Paul kick, after binging Breaking Bad, and decided to watch The Parts You Lose. It wasn't the most original flick and was predictable but I did enjoy it. I really liked the plot of the story, it reminded me quite a bit of A Perfect World where a fugitive and a kid bond together. Solid acting all around though. I was pleasantly surprised to see Mary Elizabeth Winstead in it- they probably could have benefited from using her character a bit more.

Its worth it just to see Denethor get whacked in the face.

A Christmas Carol (2019) starring Guy Pearce as Mr. Scrooge.  It's on Hulu now and it's not your usual saccharine rendition of the tale, but I think that makes it more emotionally resonant when it pays off in the end.

The Masque of the Red Death (1964)
A great film. Vincent Price is amazing and visually I love it

Good Time

Not quite what I was expecting, but Pattinson was great and the score was phenomenal.

The Lighthouse (2019)
Started out great but after a certain point it all went downhill imo.
