Plans to build migrant centre in a small Dutch town have been halted after the residents riot in protest.

ISIS flags, photos found on hundreds of migrants entering Norway. Yeah because all these migrants are just refugees and need help  ::) Cue more excuses.

Le Pen will get power eventually the way France is going, its no secret that certain areas in France are completely, how should I say it, no longer France. As time passes more and more get fed up as seen in these elections just now, just a mater of time. Same situation in Sweden, the countries are slowly being stripped away by the insanity of liberal power. Swedish people will be a minority in their own country by 2050 I read, it might be in one of those links I posted way back.

That is such BS Hubbs! My step brother lives in Sweden and has done so since early 2000. The country has become MORE right-wing through the years as the right-wing party alliance ruled Sweden for 8 years, that is also the period when the country's "nationalist" party (founded by neo-nazis btw) grew in power. The democratic socialist just got reelected and they have to clean up the mess the country is in.

The right cuts and privatizes society, pitting people at the bottom against each other as things get tougher due to austerity and privatization. That's the golden opportunity for right-wing extremists to come in and scoop up the discontent ethnic norm and direct their anger against immigrants and Muslims in particular, just like the rest of Europe, just like here in the U.S.

It's not liberal politics that are hollowing Sweden/the world out, it's conservative politics. They're tone deaf, aggressive, regressive, full of exceptionalism, ego-centrism, fear mongering, contempt against otherness, very exclusive and extremely intolerant against anything outside the previewed norm.

All your posts about Sweden are very MISLEADING and cherry picked. Just Google-translate their daily newspapers and you'll see that the info you're spreading here does not reflect the reality in Sweden. It's xenophobic paranoia and propaganda. Nice try though Hubbs!

"Then by all means, keep blaming someone else for your shortcomings and tell me how far it gets you in life."

Doom, you don't get it. You don't get it because you seem to believe that all people start with the same opportunities and possibilities in life - that life is fair and that your fate is fully in your hands. Our starting conditions are the same and that wealth somehow reflects on how hard you work etc. People that are poor and struggle through their lives do so because they are lazy whereas rich people cruising through life do so because they are hard workers?
You're starting to sound more and more fascist Doom, showing no empathy for other people while admiring the rich and powerful. Only the strongest shall survive, even if it means walking over corpses, selling your mom down the river.

It's not about shortcomings, it's about society, empathy, solidarity and responsibility. The world is effed up because we DON'T care about each other, not the other way around.

Maybe you're the "tough love" kind of guy. Tough love only work if there is actually some love in that toughness, or else it's just tough.

Funny how only the West is expected to live up to the standards of the committed left.

I'm no expert, but I have indeed been politically active and interested most of adult life and I have worked a lot with people at the bottom. I also grew up in the Bronx. Most of my friends at a point were African-American, so I witnessed my white privilege in real-time every single day. That we are still a class society, albeit that the classes have changed a little bit on a superficial level, and a society with a lot of baked in "hidden" racist and sexist structures and norms,  should be apparent to anyone no matter what your political views are. Know to deal with them is where the discussion should be at, but unfortunately the political climate is so inflamed that nothing constructive comes out of it. There is no consensus about anything.

Communist? The utopian part of me is quite communist, but the realist in me knows very well that humans can't get past the revolutionary phase without things going awry really fast.,just like I explained in my earlier posts. I'm more of a social-democrat with syndicalist desires if you necessarily need to label me. I'm not against business and the market as long as the workforce is organized (unions), has a living wage, universal healthcare, free education and a guaranteed pension. If that means taxing the hell out of corporations and rich folks then so be it!

Now if I read that right I'm a communistic anarchist. However why do I suspect that it is only because I think women and gays are equal? Hard to believe such things should matter.

Well, Social Libertarians (left-wing Libertarians) are anti-authoritarian and not big government as they (we) believe that organized labor, unions and cooperatives can regulate themselves as well as keeping the markets at bay. Ideally the workers own their own workplaces together rather than having some board of executives, rich CEOs and investors screwing things up. Something like that. Your humanistic views about gays and women has more to go with your social ideals rather than your economical ones?

@Eagle:

Sorry mate but everyone in Europe knows about Sweden and its ultra liberal rule, its common knowledge, its also common knowledge that the people of Sweden will be a minority in years to come. The capital Malmo is in a bad way because of mass migration. The links I posted are not cherry picked, they are everywhere. The right are gaining support now, just like everywhere in Europe because of ridiculous liberal rule that is destroying the continent. Just look at the state of Germany now.

How can you say its conservative politics that are doing this when only the UK has a conservative government as far as I'm aware. Most Euro countries are of democratic/liberal rule, Sweden has been for years, although that is fast starting to swing, just like in France.

The migrant crisis has been allowed by liberals, people like Merkel, idiots who don't think about the future. Your claim merely supports the notion that you are simply making stuff up with no backup and no links, typical loudmouth liberal who simply refuses to accept what is actually happening (usually offering excuse after excuse). Neither am I bothered what your step brother says/thinks because he's probably just like you and supports this madness (is he even a Swede?).

Hell their media is known to cover up foreign crime stats, they sweep anything related to migrants under the carpet so as not to damage their open outlook policy to the world (google it).

Sweden also has massive ghetto problems and, again, a well known rape problem, both of which are down to immigration problems and common knowledge around Europe.

Seriously mate, you've got a real identity issue haven't you, you're clearly ashamed of who you are and feel the need to jump on bandwagons to somehow liberate yourself. I actually think you need some help or counselling, how can you even write stuff like that about yourself, Jesus Christ! Anyone who uses phrases like that instantly loses all credibility in my eyes. Are you part of this new young set that have been demanding safe spaces from anything and everything that might offend?  ::)

I'm ok-corp, ok-union and ok regulation. Many ways to make things work, however, I miss the true small mom and pop days. You know, when community meant something.
