hey Doomrulz do u believe homosexuality is what nature intended

Yes, homosexuality is natural.
Not when heterosexuality is required to produce offspring.

Using this definition we can deduct that homosexuality is indeed unnatural. Just because it occurs in nature doesn't make it natural. Homosexuality is contrary to the ORDINARY course of nature, which is the definition of unnatural.

Not sure if trolling...

We're really doing this?

It occurs naturally. It is natural.
It is also uncommon. It goes against the ORDINARY course of nature. Therefore, unnatural.

Quote from: Sabby on Mar 30, 2014, 03:06:48 PMWanna see an example of unnatural sexual behavior? Abstinence.
Why even bring this up?

Jimmies have been successfully rustled.

Really? I'd be very surprised, but I'm interested. Got any citations? Animals aren't exactly the best at denying themselves their natural urges.

Aren't we animals as well? We're able to control ours.  :P

There's this one shrimp that holds out for a long, long time so that he can ejaculate so explosively it gets to his partner from thirty feet away. It's also used as a defense mechanism, because as I said it's such an explosive ejaculation that it literally blows holes in other fish like a jizzum shotgun. However if that does happen he has to build it all back up again through abstinence.

I'm paraphrasing.

This is where things get weird. Yes, humans are animals, and as far as I know (please correct me if I am wrong), they are the only species with the higher brain functions to change the way they think. Animals for the most part just go with their instincts. There's an instinct to f**k, and an instinct to eat. Humans, however, are an exception that can decide to not f**k or eat.

It's that exception that makes this a really odd discussion, because if we want to include human behavior when discussing what is natural, things get really complicated.

Yeah, it's all ready starting to get convoluted.

Yes, that was quite simple. I think I saw a documentary about that before.

Horseshit, now you're redefining things, and poorly at that. If something happens in nature, the frequency is irrelevant -- it's still a natural occurrence. And homosexuality in nature is a constant and always has been, regardless of its prevalence.

Homosexuality is part of the ordinary course of nature. It is a constant. Just not a big one.

Didn't see that, apologies. That's interesting, but considering it's doing this for an actual benefit in breeding, is it really abstinence?

All you're doing is playing a daisy chain of definitions, selectively applied. The word "unnatural" to begin with isn't even being used in a strictly biological sense, so you're just being either dumb or trolling. Stahp it Cal.
